Dermot Casey

Dermot is a strategic advisor, supporting startups and innovative companies in spaces as diverse as AI, IoT and HealthTech. He works with founders helping them to clarify and refine their ideas, to raise funding, to build teams and deliver products to the market. Dermot was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Storyful growing the company from 2 to 35 people, and raising millions of euros across three rounds of investment. Prior to Storyful he worked in a variety of roles in General Electric. He’s also an adjunct lecturer in Strategy, Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD and a Director of the Festival of Curiosity.

Angela Duffy

Angela is a strategic adviser to businesses. She started her own market research consultancy after years of corporate experience. In the US she worked as a global marketing manager for Medtronic, and in Ireland led innovation activities for the company. She has led international and cross-functional teams. Angela held academic positions in both NUIG and RCSI. She has a PhD, an MBA and diploma in digital marketing. She is an expert in market research and customer insights, and a specialist in identifying new opportunities.

Alan Costello

Alan has spent 15 years at the intersection of product/technology, scaling and the investment finance needed to enable that. His focus is around customer centricity with convergent technologies amidst fast changing megatrends. He has previously founded a professional services company in strategy and investment consultancy, working with funders, state agencies, international development bodies and private clients from startup to MNC. He maintains a strong interest in the not-for-profit and charity sector, serving on a number of Boards, and has founded three charity and social enterprises.

David Scanlon

David has been involved with digital technology and start-ups throughout his career. David spent over a decade working for Enterprise Ireland across a variety of roles, most recently involved with the innovative Start in Ireland programme, designed to attract HPSU companies to Ireland from overseas. David was the Dublin Chapter Director for Startup Grind, the global entrepreneurship community. Alongside running monthly Startup Grind events for four years, David has also hosted and moderated a wide-variety of events aimed at educating entrepreneurs and developing innovation ecosystems, including Dublin Web Summit, InspireFest, TCD LaunchBox, and multiple Startup Weekend events.
